Indoor Auto Racing Fun for the Whole Family
If you attended the thrilling Atlantic City Indoor Race in 2013 – when Anthony Sesely beat Jimmy Blewett by the slimmest of margins after Ted Christopher took a late race flip – then you’ll be thrilled to know that indoor Atlantic City races are returning to Boardwalk Hall on January 24-25, 2014 for the 12th consecutive year.
If you missed all the action of these Atlantic City races or have never attended an indoor auto race event, this fun family activity will be enjoyed by all! Imagine small go-kart racecars equipped with motorcycle engines racing 20-40 laps around an eighth-mile indoor paved oval track at Boardwalk Hall.
- Microsprint cars are purpose-built small, open-wheeled racecars with top wings, and are powered by motorcycle engines;
- TQ Midgets are three-quarter sized race cars (open cockpit, open-wheel single seat machines) built for speeds of 75 mph or more and for maneuverability on small tracks;
- Slingshots are similar to TQ midgets but with aluminum roofs and bodies that resemble dirt Modifieds, and typically race outdoors on paved and dirt tracks;
- Champ Karts are open-wheeled go karts with roll cages that can reach 70-75 mph;
Two incredible nights of racing promise enhanced family entertainment when the different vehicles compete and especially when wild and crazy accidents occur. You can expect at least one TQ midget to safely flip upside down several times. The highlight of the series will culminate with Saturday’s Gambler’s Classic – a 40-lap TQ/Microsprints race featuring the top 25 qualifying cars.
When you feel the need for speed and wish for a warm venue to observe this fast-paced fun, sprint over to Boardwalk Hall for an entertaining evening of thrills and chills January 24-25, 2014.
