Now entering its 13th year, the Atlantic City Farmers Market
continues to provide city residents and visitors alike with farm-fresh produce, fruits, vegetables and more each summer in downtown Atlantic City.
Several vendors from throughout southern New Jersey have faithfully returned each and every summer with fresh products hand-picked straight from their farms, such as sweet corn-on-the-cob, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, peaches, pears, apples, grapes, eggplant, peppers, celery, cabbage, bananas, squash, onions, blueberries, peas, green beans, grapefruit, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, as well as fresh honey, ciders, and freshly-cut flowers.
To compliment the delicious food items, over the years, several crafters have offered hand-made jewelry and soaps while local bakers have brought freshly-baked breads and pizza.
The Farmers Market
will return each Thursday and Saturday to Center City Park, located on Atlantic Avenue between North and South Carolina avenues, this year beginning on Thursday, July 11th and run through Saturday, September 28th.
Once again, live musical entertainment, featuring various genres such as jazz, reggae and light rock from many local musicians and groups, will be featured on Thursday’s beginning July 11th and running through August 29th from 12-1pm in Center City Park. Tables and chairs are sprinkled throughout the park allowing visitors the chance to bring their lunches while enjoying the soothing musical sounds emanating from the park.
A list of vendors, products and live musical acts for the 2013 Farmers Market will be announced shortly. Check back frequently for updates. For more information on the Farmers Market, please call 609-347-0500 or visit www.njcrda.com
